The AIPP program aims to attract and retain skilled skilled workers and international graduates to fulfill the unique workforce needs of the Atlantic provinces, which consists of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot program is a pathway for these skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to settle down in one of Canada’s Atlantic provinces and obtain permanent resident status.
As such, this is an employer-driven program who were unable to fill the required positions locally and wish to hire qualified foreign workers.
Interested applicants must either be a recent graduate of one of the Atlantic province’s educational institutes or a skilled worker who meets the program requirements. They can be living in Canada temporarily or be living abroad, but must have a job offer from an employer to apply under this program. The employer does not need to undergo the LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) process to offer the candidate a job.
Candidate Requirements:
There are 3 programs in this pilot from which employers can hire you through. While you may qualify for multiple, you may only apply through one.
Atlantic High-Skilled Program (AHSP)
Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (AISP)
Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)
